About Emma

Founder of Silver & Bead

Growing up in Zimbabwe, I was surrounded by natural beauty, rich culture, and a deep appreciation for handmade craft. Moving to England at the start of secondary school, I carried that connection with me, a quiet influence that continues to shape everything I create today.

I have always been drawn to jewellery and gemstones, anything with a natural glow, texture, or sense of character. What began as a personal love for jewellery soon evolved into a passion for designing and creating pieces that felt timeless, meaningful, and effortless to wear. Silver & Bead Collective began simply through making jewellery I loved myself, pieces inspired by heritage, natural materials, and everyday simplicity.

Over time, that passion grew into something much greater. Through working with talented artisans and discovering the incredible craftsmanship of makers across Africa, I became increasingly inspired by the skill, creativity, and stories behind handmade work. The collective was born from a desire not only to create, but to celebrate and share those traditions through thoughtfully curated jewellery and handcrafted pieces.

Ethically sourced materials and honest craftsmanship remain at the heart of everything we do. We believe in knowing where things come from, valuing the hands that make them, and creating pieces with intention and longevity.

Today, Silver & Bead Collective brings together handcrafted jewellery and carefully sourced artisan pieces that reflect both heritage and individuality, designed to be worn, gifted, and treasured
